Prof. Elmars Krausz

BSc PhD Sydney FRACI

Elmars Krausz received his BSc (hons) and PhD from the University of Sydney in Physical Chemistry.

He has since held positions at the Australian National University (1971-1973, 1978), Oxford University (1974-1975), the University of Virginia (1976-1977), the University of Sydney (1979-1980). He has been at the Research School of Chemistry since 1981.

He is a fellow of the Royal Australian Chemical Institute and was appointed Professor at the Research School of Chemistry in 2002.

His research has crossed the disciplines of Physical Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry, Solid State Physics and Biochemistry and Biophysics. His focus is now on fundamental processes in both natural and artificial photosynthesis and looks to the development of renewable energy in both national and international collaborations.
