Biography

Christoph studied chemistry and business administration. He obtained his PhD in medicinal chemistry on the development of anti-infectives against dengue virus in 2014, for which he received the PhD prize of the German Chemical Society. He had held a position at Heidelberg University before he moved to the ANU as a Feodor Lynen Fellow (Alexander von Humboldt Foundation). Currently, he is working in the biomolecular NMR laboratory of Professor Gottfried Otting on novel methods for drug discovery and chemical biology. He is particularly interested in covalent-reversible protein modification using the unique binding characteristics of underexplored chemical elements.
