Biography

Xiang completed his Bachelor of Engineering (2010) at the Shandong Agricultural University and Master of Engineering (2013) at the Jinan University. In 2013, he moved to Australia to pursue his PhD with Prof. Martin Banwell at ANU. As a student of at the Jinan University, Xiang mainly explored the modification of natural food bioactives and the application in food additives. At ANU, he hopes to expand his organic chemistry skill set with focus on the new methods for the synthesis of biologically active and inactive natural products.
