The Research School of Chemistry is keen to recruit PhD students of the highest scholastic calibre from within Australia and abroad.

At the Research School of Chemistry we view students as one of our most important resources. We provide the highest quality training and education for graduate students and postdoctoral fellows in a stimulating research environment.

As a student at the RSC you will work alongside internationally–renowned researchers and have access to world-class equipment and facilities. Our research covers biological chemistry through to physical and theoretical chemistry, offering you a wide choice of research projects.

Students benefit from close interaction with their supervisors and have access to all of the resources and expertise of the RSC. Students are also given opportunities to travel to national conferences.

Initial enquiries about possible supervision should be directed to Leaders of Research Groups. Support by a potential supervisor is essential.

There is a single application form for admission to graduate programs, University scholarships, Australian Postgraduate Awards, Endeavour International Postgraduate Research Scholarships, Alan Sargeson Merit Supplementary Scholarships, and more!

Australian and New Zealand residents should complete the Local Postgraduate Research Program and/or Scholarship Application and international students should complete the International Postgraduate Research Program and/or Scholarship Application. An application fee of A$100 is payable by international students when the application is lodged.

You can download an application form from Student and Academic Services.
