Irene Zhen from the Canberra Innovation Network (CBRIN) will be coming to the RSC on Tuesday the 16th of October to talk about research impact.
CBRIN runs a selective Research to Impact Program for researchers at all levels in their career, over two months of workshops. This workshop will provide an introduction to the key ideas of the program, with places available in a new cohort of students for the beginning of 2019.

As a researcher (from HDR student to professor) you may be frustrated by the difficulty of finding ways to translate your ideas / technology / knowledge into meaningful engagement outside the lab. You may be frustrated by limited career options, low funding, limited opportunities to engage industry and the wider community. Research to Impact uses methods developed on startups and proven to work for researchers to:
- Empower you to explore new options for your career, industry engagement and publicising or commercialising your inventions
- Show you practical new ways to think about innovation that will enable you to better engage the community
- Help you create real collaborative conversations with industry that can lead to opportunities
- Give you new tools to connect and explain your ideas
If you would like to come, please RSVP via the Eventbrite link below by Tuesday the 9th of October.
