Mr Cheesheng Onn

Master of Chemistry MChem (Oxford)
PhD Candidate

I graduated from Oxford with a first class honours Master of Chemistry in 2012 and obtained my teaching qualification Master of Teaching (Secondary Education) in 2013 on a Brunei Government Ministry of Education scholarship. Between 2014 and 2018, I taught junior college (pre-university) chemistry - the Cambridge International Advanced Level curriculum. I then started my PhD with Professor Anthony Hill in March 2019, funded by the ANU research scholarship, working on heteroatom functionalised metal-carbon chains. To date, we have published most of my first year work and another manuscript is in preparation based on an extension of that body of work.
