Nilanthi completed her B.Sc in chemistry and biology (2013) at University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka. Then she followed M.Sc. in Analytical Chemistry (2015) with GPA of 3.70/4.00 at the same university under the supervision of Prof B.M.R Bandara. In August 2016, She moved to Australia and started her Ph.D. with Prof Chris Easton at ANU. Her Ph.D. research project is to understand the chemical processes involved in the metabolism of peptide hormones in human cancer.
