Natalie completed her Bachelor of Philosophy (Science) (Honours) in 2015 at the ANU, graduating with first class Honours and the University Medal. Inspired by her Honours research in natural product total synthesis with Prof. Michael Sherburn, she chose to pursue her PhD at the RSC with the same supervisor. Her research interests lie in next generation chemical synthesis, with a focus on domino reaction sequences. Her work aims to confront the challenges posed in accessing complex organic structures in a practical and efficient manner. As such, it encompasses both clever synthetic design to realise the potential of pre-existing technologies, as well as advances in chemical methodology.
