This project will explore boronic acids in peptides. Boronic acids have unique chemical properties, rendering them perfect groups for recognising carbohydrates or amino acids in proteins. The project will develop a protocol for incorporating different boronic acids into growing peptide chains. Biochemical assays will explore binding properties to various biomolecules.
