The Lenton Parr sculpture "Untitled" was installed in 1962 on the eastern end of the now-demolished Department of Chemistry building. Following the demolition of the building, the Parr sculpture has been rehomed to the northern side of the Research School of Chemistry Building, Building 137/138.
The imagery in the sculpture was inspired by crystal formation and X-ray diffraction. It aims to reflect imaginatively the organic and inorganic structure of nature which is investigated by chemists.
