Research Engagement The RSC, and ANU more broadly, are committed to supporting commercialization of intellectual property to fostering Australia’s innovation economy. Our multidisciplinary research activities drive our cross-campus engagement in a number of university wide projects. The School also hosts three RSC startup companies: Samara which aims to develop a recyclable plastics using bioengineered organisms; Syneta, which is developing a next generation 3d printers that allows manufacture of polymeric, organic, semiconducting, or metallic materials into complex shapes; and Nanostratus, which produces novel surface coatings with applications in many fields including the fight against COVID-19.
