Late last year, the Research School of Chemistry moved into its new, state-of-the-art $90m building. On the warm afternoon of Friday 14th of November, the new building was officially opened. There was a big turn-out of well over 200 people from across the University and from the RSC alumni, who came from near and far.
They heard speeches from the Dean of the College of Mathematical and Physical Sciences, Prof. Andrew Roberts, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Ian Young, and Australia’s Chief Scientist and former Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Ian Chubb. Prof. Chubb also cut the ceremonial cake.
