Please join us in welcoming Dan Preston to the ANU and the RSC.  Dan is currently working remotely from NZ and we look forward to bringing him to Canberra and the ANU Campus in the not too distant future (dependant of course on travel restrictions).

Dan completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Otago. He then completed his doctorate at the same university, working with James Crowley. Dan received a Rutherford Postdoctoral Fellowship to carry out independent research under the mentorship of Paul Kruger at the University of Canterbury (NZ). He has recently joined the School as an ARC DECRA Fellow.

Dan will launch our online seminar series on the 16 April 2020, you can read more about his seminar on "Trying to make complicated stuff from simple bits and pieces" here  https://chemistry.anu.edu.au/news-events/events/daniel-preston-title-trying-make-complicated-stuff-simple-bits-and-pieces

When he’s not doing chemistry Dan is with his family, or reading or writing fiction, drawing, doing cryptic crosswords, or playing or watching sports.
