Congratulations Dr Andrew Gilbert 2017 Wormit Award

Congratulations to Dr Andrew Gilbert on receiving the 2017 Wormit Award. The Wormit Award was established to recognize excellence in the development of new methods and algorithms in the area of electronic structure and for implementing these methods in state-of-the art computer codes within the Q-Chem open teamware community project. One award is given each year and includes a certificate and prize of US$500. It commemorates contributions of Dr. Michael Wormit who is remembered for his state-of-the-art developments of many-body methods, for his leadership in the community, for his educating and mentoring of junior team members, and for his infrastructure development. The award winner is chosen by an independent panel of senior experts which, this year, included professors from the University of Pennsylvania, the University of Utah, Purdue University and MIT. This year’s award will be officially announced at the WATOC 2017 congress in Munich in August / September.
Congratulations on this well deserved recognition!
