The Westpac Future Leaders Scholarship ‘supports exceptional individuals to undertake post-graduate study at one of Australia's leading universities’. The scheme provides scholars with a leadership development program and financial and logistical support for their research, including international travel.

Impressively, the RSC currently has four Westpac Future Leaders Scholars amongst its Ph.D. cohort. Three of them, Alexandra Schumann-Gillett, Adam Mater and Simon McKenzie, are theoretical/computational chemists and Henry Orton is a biological chemist. They are all undertaking cutting-edge research in chemistry whilst making an impact!
