About

Suitable for ASC / CHEM3060 / Honours / Masters students

Are you passionate about developing sustainable energy solutions? Join our team to design nano-to-atomic catalysts, ranging from nanostructured materials and heterostructures to atomically dispersed active sites, for important energy and chemical conversion reactions. Research topics may include water/alcohol splitting for hydrogen production, CO₂ reduction to value-added fuels and chemicals, nitrogen-containing molecule conversion, and selective oxidation reactions. In this Honours/Master project, you will investigate how catalyst composition, atomic structure, interfaces, electronic structure and reaction microenvironment control catalytic activity, selectivity and stability. You will gain hands-on experience in materials synthesis, advanced characterization and catalytic measurements, while developing an understanding of structure–property–performance relationships from the nanoscale down to the atomic scale.
