Sreelakshmi completed her integrated Bachelor of Science and Master of Science majoring in chemistry from Indian Institute of Science Education and Research, Thiruvananthapuram in June 2018. In September 2018, Sreelakshmi commenced her PhD under the supervision of Gottfried Otting.
